7 birds at the farm in Mowata; combo of teal and spoonies.

shite ton of huge flocks of ducks/geese flying high so that was an excellent sign for things to come.

Deer were moving real good this morning. Let a bunch walk till about 8:30 and then took a doe. Saw 5 different bucks. From a spike to a nice little 8. Even had a 6 and 7 pointers started to fight 20 yards from me.

Sucks the big one due to not getting any pictures. Dam cell phone c raped out on me last Thursday. Still waiting for a new one to come in.

Me and my 6yo cozied up in box stand in central Texas.

Probably won't pull the trigger unless it's a biggun (don't want to miss the game)

I could live here. Maybe I should play the lottery

Box stand over looking long lane between oak flat and pine thicket
I have my 5 yr old with me so our deer sightings might be slim . He is packing the Red Ryder.

Wife is hunting on the other side of the place with a 45/70. She just saw a small buck so maybe they are gonna move.

It's all the damn time around here! Starts about 3:30ish and can go until 5....deer here must be use to it to some extent. I killed a 6pt chasing some does last year while a neighbor was sighting in a night vision scope at 5:30pm

- My wife just texted from her stand "did the apocalypse just start". We must have heard 30 shots in the last hour

It's getting about that time when I'm no longer willing to shoot a doe, so naturally I will probably see a few shortly
