Thanks for the replies guys. I cleaned the TB last night and added some Lucas system cleaner. When I drove it around last night it was fine, but I will see how it acts for my wife today. I will check the frame when I get home and see if the filter is there, if not I might just bite the bullet and plan to change the pump and filter out for good measure since the tank needs to be dropped anyways.

quote:clogged fuel filters are almost a thing of the past these days. Your problem is most likely a weak fuel pump,a stuck open EGR valve,a faulty cam/crank position sensor or a dirty Mass Airflow Meter.
I will check the frame when I get home and see if the filter is there,
Using a good scanner(not a code reader) i could determine which one of these is the culprit without being a parts changer.
You will save yourself a bunch of headache and money by taking it to a reputable mechanic can find the actual problem.

Thanks MJ2, luckily I have an extremely reputable mechanic on speed dial. I am going to see how it acts for the next couple of days, then plan on dropping it off at his shop and let him go over everything. I really dont want my wife driving a death trap while she is pregnant, or when she has baby in tow.

how does a throttle body go out? It's a piece of metal.
Went out is probably the wrong terminology. It was under warranty so I just took it back to the dealer and they fixed it, said it was the TB.
