Not from 18 to 19 it doesn’t which is why I pointed out the last year.
Also doesn’t explain how he shaved off .4 his previous record in just 6 months. That’s way outside the statistical norm as I pointed out.
But since you asked:
Dressel
2013 Juniors (17 yo) 49.06
2017 Worlds (21 yo) 47.17 (-1.89 4 yr gap; Pan -2.4 from 15 to 19 yo: a whole half second more with less developed muscles?)
2019 Worlds (23 yo) 46.96 (-.21 2 yrs)
2021 Tokyo Olympics 47.02 (+.06 2 yrs)
Dresser’s largest win at competitions where WRs are measured is .6 at an older age with more developed muscles. Pan won by twice that: 1.22.

Let's check national rankings for Caeleb from 18 and 19 years old. 48.78 for 3rd in 2015 and 47.91 for 2nd in 2016. 0.87 drop is fine, but 0.94 is just too damn much?

You’ve sidestepped the margin of victory completely. How do you explain that Pan’s MOV was double that of Dressel’s while he was in his prime?
Dressel won most of his races within a realistic margin from the field. Not a full body length. Unheard of in the 100.
I pulled my stats from actual world competitions where WRs are measured. Where did you pull yours?
College swims are not a full 50m pool. They’re 25yd so athletes get more pushes off the wall which lowers their times. That’s why those records/stats are not kept alongside Olympic/World competitions. It’s also easier to lower times by getting double the pushes off the wall at turns.

23 to 25 years old are too old for swimmers
Pan is 19 years. His improvement should be bigger

The fact you say this shows how funny this conversation is. You can set world records at pretty much any sanctioned meet

We use 25 yard pools because this America, it has frick all to do with to get more push offs. In a 100 it would actually be triple the turns, btw. The records aren't kept alongside the other records because they're American or ncaa records, set at different distances. At best only Liberia or Myanmar would use 25 yard pools. Why was this brought up in a doping thread?

Again, world records "are measured" at all sanctioned competitions

The US women 4x4 beat the WR? Are they doping also? Michael Phelps beat so many WR. Dude was doping for sure. Usain Bolt was definitely doping.

Did they shatter their world record by almost half a second less than 9 months later while also beating the field by 1 whole second, in a race that is typically measured in 1/100’s or 1/1000’s of a second? Context matter comrade.

I'm pretty sure dressel won 100 fly at 2019 world championships by over 1.1 seconds.
He won by 0.12

To be frankly, I suspect Michael Phelps was doped.
He does not look like a 39 years old, more like 69 years old.
In the picture that he was holding his baby, his body looks terrible. What happened to those muscles?
As a world class athlete, he should look more energetic.

To be frank, you might be more retarded than the pan doped crowd. Phelps volunteered for enhanced testing leading up to 08 games. Pan and Phelps have the same 0 positive tests, Phelps just has had his b samples hold up to time, with improved testing/detection methods.
