Politics are so toxic, any kind of injection of it gets people pissed off at athletes. Brees took a shot when he did it and he was almost untouchable at that point. It's really brought out the worst in people, that KC kicker went the other direction and people are still going after him. Travis Kelce and his jab stuff. There is definitely some racism in there too though for Biles.
