It's great, especially when the crowds sing it enthusiastically at the medal ceremony.

I really enjoyed it during the opening ceremony.

They should rotate between like 4-5 locations. Some of these countries building structures that go into ruin 6 months later.

That's what they're basically doing. They did it with Beijing and LA isn't spending much on new facilities. Frankly LA84 provided a blueprint on how the run an Olympics without debt. Athens was the polar opposite.

I think with all of the ice issues in the first week there will be a revisiting of holding games in cities where the average temp is above 50°. The French Alps should be an improvement. SLC is reusing venues so there shouldn't be any issues. At some point I hope they give a Scandinavian country another Olympics.

I think Stockholm for the ice sports and Are for the skiing is expected to be a major contender after the Utah games.

Would be the first Scandinavian Olympics since Lillehammer.
