Anyone got an update on the ROV operations ?

Looks like BP has removed the top hat this morning and all the oil is flowing out of the top of the BOP unchecked. I guess they are replacing the old top hat with a better one.
You can see for yourself at the following link

Yes I was watching the video and that is what got me wondering what they are doing . Looks like they are cleaning up the old top hat ? Just curious if any one had any inside knowledge of the operations

There were some problems with one of the pipes and they removed the cap to fix it. They are also cleaning it to avoid buildup. From what I have heard.

Did you notice on one of the other cameras that there was a yellow oval float on the seafloor, apparently to mark a leak. An ROV came and picked up the float, and the leak was more apparent, but not major.
This was taking place at the same time they were getting ready to reset the cap.
BOA Deep C ROV 1 was watching this minor leak as they were lowering the cap back on, and the leak became mush worse. To the point that nothing could be seen but swirling clouds of brown.
They lifted the cap back off the BOP and BOA Deep C started moving. It has not gone back down to the seafloor leak site. HMMMM!!!!

oil was spewing from the seafloor? They lifted the cap and pressure released and the seafloor leak subsided?

Kind of. It was leaking from the sea floor and then when they put the cap on the BOP it started spewing out.

What does that mean? The seafloor is really unstable and the well could blow later down the road?

I have no idea...thats what a lot of people are speculating. I guess the level of the sea floor actually has been going down around the leak. Im not 100% sure because I am not there....but I have read that is has a few places.
