Waveland / Gulfport beaches

My dog loves to run on the beach/ in the water in this area - we haven't been since about day 20 of the spill - is there too much/any oil in the gulf here? He has tons of hair and him getting any oil in it would make the 30 minute trip not worth it

We have a house in the Bay, and I've been there nearly every weekend since the spill and spent a whole week in mid-June. I have yet to see the first tar ball. We do most of our beaching right there in Pass Christian once you cross the Bay bridge going towards Shaggy's.
