Like I have said since day one..dont believe the hype. BP will come out smelling like a rose once this is all said and done. Things are NEVER as bad as they appear to be.

So have you bought any BP stock since it tanked?

From your link

A total of 601 sea turtles have been verified from April 30 to July 5within the designated spill area from the Texas/Louisiana border to Apalachicola, Fla. There are 148 sea turtles in rehabilitation centers.

If you look at my post, I was talking about Pelicans. Nice try though

Even with those turtle numbers, that's just the ones they find, there are sooo many more that aren't documented and unfound.

Just so you guys know, I'm a hunter, fisherman, i've been raised in oil country and I don't hate BP as some of the extremists do, although I do think they do not have the people of louisiana in their best interest. This is a horrible accident whether it's a mistake or not. I'm just stating the facts pal. If you don't believe me, I welcome you to go down south and take a look

I understand your intentions, and thanks for the appreciation, but if you want to challenge what I'm saying, be sure you have your facts straight.

I'm headed back down this weekend and they're expecting 500-1000 birds within a few days. It's gonna get crazy.

These are the exact arguments you would expect BP and their attorneys to make to mitigate their fault for the losses.

Of course they want to point the finger at someone else.

The answer is probably somewhere in the middle. If BP didn't blow the well out they didn't have to worry about any of this, of course the media and their doomsday scenarios did have a real effect on tourism and the consumption of LA/AL/MS seafood in all markets.

The results indicate that for all eight dispersants in both test species, the dispersants alone were less toxic than the dispersant-oil mixture

There is certainly little doubt that the government's "response" (or lack thereof) is at least as much of a factor as the spill itself.

use of the word certainly in yourcase is a misuse of the word.

There is no such thing
as your propaganda,
in real life.

You can name all the exact responses which gummint had at its legal disposal any time you want to.
Start with where the BP rig boss gives the ok even after the signs and reading indicate maybe there is a leak and BP goes ahead anyway. That's your proximate cause, right there.
BP. Coast Guard was there in under an hour. What else do you want? More skimmers? Where do you park them when you are not using them? Who pays for them?

Meanwhile, you are entering pure political bullshite into a more or less neutral discussion thread.

BP for thier PR.

I worked on Grand Isle for over 2 months, and have said this all along. BP biggest problem is pitiful PR! All of the BP representatives that I worked with were awesome in the clean up!
