I will not buy BP branded gas again (unless BP magically makes all the harm they have caused disappear and overcompensates everybody for their troubles - HA). I also understand the economics of the gasoline. You BP butt-kissers are making the mistake that if someone has a different opinion than you that they must not understand the situation. That is your justification for being able to live with yourselves - and it is wrong.
If BP makes 'no money' from a BP branded station, then why have them? Why pay millions to advertise them? Is the largest company in Britain that stupid to throw the money away for nothing? If I buy from a BP station or not, BP will never know. My purchase is less than a fly on an elephant. But, if millions of people make the same choice not to buy - now we're talking.
Does BP want to see their stations go away? What about Exxon/Mobil? What about Exxon/Mobil directors? Will they try to influence the behavior of their company to be more careful with their environmental responsibilities? Other companies can be taught to be better caretakers when they understand that we will not buy their products blindly.
