Salazar needs to do the world a favor and eat a bullet by his own hand.

WOW......
People need to start voicing their opinions loudly on this BS....it seems like it's the only way things get done in this country. I revise my statement from earlier I hope for $120/barrel oil.....when folks in the northeast catch a whiff of $3.50-$4/gal gas.....they will be more than happy to support drilling.
Not suprisingly from the polls I've seen a majority of Americans support continued drilling.....and equally not suprisingly these assholes won't listen to their constituents.
Not sure if anyone else has seen this in their day to day work, but the MMS is being over the top ridiculous on the work that is being done.

But drillers in shallow water say they haven't been issued permits since the April 20 explosion. The delay has already forced hundreds of layoffs, and many more could be on the way.

My fiancee' works on a production platform and he said MMS is all over them and fining them if a trash can is out of place! Using his term they are "blowing ink" all over the place. As my stance has always been just as flying was safer after 9/11 (heightened security) it would be the same if deepwater drilling were allowed - MMS would be all over the rigs trying to insure it does not happen again. Drilling would be safer then it has ever been.
