A few of my counter parts weren't happy to find out it would be Oklahoma for 4+ months since they all just jumped in 12 mo leases aroud town.

I lucked out and found a couple with a garage apt, ussually for UL students, empty just for the summer so it's worked out great so far.

Rest of this week is safety training in new Iberia so I'm off to bed. Maybe our paths will cross sometime. Geaux tigers.

See if you can find anything out about Numar. They are or were a subsidiary of Halliburton that I helped start up in the '80's. We developed a magnetic resonance logging tool and I'd love to know whatever happened to that technology.

Sperry put that technology to good use.

Welcome to the oilfield and to Lafayette.

Been living here a year working in the office. Seriously, now is a good time to get into the industry, especially if you don't mind going overseas. I've got a nice office job, but I'm willing to give that up for some overseas money.

City Bar in Maurice is a great little place to go for drinks after the day is done.

Congrats man! I graduated in PE in Dec from LSU and have been working in the oilfield since. I was very close to going to work for Halliburton but when I got my final letter I realized why they call it Hallibroke. They have a very nice staff there and the receptionist is pretty hot too! I hope you like it.

Don..

I say something to piss you off? I'm not sure I knew you are in Lafayette. I know you're in the area sometimes. I'm always up for a drink. City Bar is on my way home.
