Checked Swift's site and found a couple of jobs in Houma LINK
They close after this weekend, so better apply quick.

It seems like jobs are hard to find down there...you would think they would be advertising like crazy all over the coast.

have lootie and the looters moved to venice as a result of the spill, or is this to keep people from seeing what is/is not going on?

A couple of my buddies, who have college degrees, just got jobs down there basically doing office work. Said they work 12 hrs a day, 7 days a week, banking over $20/hr. Sorry don't know how they got it, just letting you know there definitely is money to be made.

if your into claims you can try worley but I think they have closed it off for now will probably be available in a week. If you can get on they are paying about 400 a day

These operations will last much longer than 6 months. I'm working in Cocodrie which is a smaller operation than Venice and Grand Isle but they're still talking about being here for at least 2 years.

better than ashland, them crackers were fired after two weeks

ETA: mud, most of these labor companies will work you seven days a week no less. I worked 18 days straight then took two days off. I try to work a month without taking a day off. The money is way too good.

Whenever I take off all I can think of is I just lost $420.
