I am sick and tired of watching the shite on T.V. I get so frustrated and pissed off listening to the complete bullshite coming from the mouths of everyone from B.P. I grew up hunting on the coast, where Wax Lake runs out in the the Gulf, for the first 18 years of my life. I loved it down there though i live in Georgia now, I still make the trip down there when i get home once a year to duck hunt and fish. Everything happening on the coast that is being done by everyone, except for the people of the state of Louisiana is complete and total horse shite. Why do we have peopel down there working for this shite company that dont want to be down there, take 45 minute breaks every 15 minutes they work and get off at four oclock each day? Oh is it to hot??? I bet the frickING people of Louisiana aren't down there taking breaks every frickING hour. What exactly are they accomplishing? Nothing!!!! It is sicking to me to watch the complete and utter bullshite unravel. But my main question is this, we go to Hatti, we go to Mexico, we go frickING everywhere to help this other coutries out in disaters... Where are these countries when we need them??? When are we going to start worrying about ourselves and not the others that dont give a shite about us??

GOD BLESS LOUISIANA AND GOD BLESS THE U.S.A

Welcome to my world the last 50+ days. Just today i heard Obama earmarked 4 million or so to some foreign country. FWIW some other countries did offer to help but the Odramettes say no.

it;s worse than that. Obama doesn't even pull out his pen for less than 100 million. We promised 400 million to Palestine because Israel is mad at hem for shooting rockets and using suicide bombers to blow up children.

BTW: Great Post!

Wax Lake is still the same except its building land. Such a beautiful area and its an honor working down there every couple of months.

No oil down there. There was a light sheen near atchafalaya bay about 3 weeks ago. However as this spill lingers the currents will take it there eventually.

That is the thing that hurts me the most... I grew up hunting on Was Lake. My houseboat was tied to the bank where Tow Head Bayou ran through to Tow Head Lake... 15 years ago more ducks then you have ever seen before. Now my son's son will be lucky if it will get back the way it was when I grew up there. It took the first ten years of my life growing up hunting before i knew what Sportsman Paradise ment on Louisiana license plates, but I learned and it sets hard in my heart that this country is refusing to do what is neccessary to get this under control

Its tragic and BP needs to be held accountable for their actions and their lying to the american public.

Wax Lake is still in the same condition you last saw it. A lot of research from around the world is being done there. One of the few places where a river is not altered and land building with little impacts from man (oil industry).

A great place, but duck hunting was pretty poor this year.

My place is Venice. I fish Venice I leave from Metairie at 3 am. Some times take my 10 and 8 year old boys with me....sometime just me and the wife. (I'm lucky she likes to fish).

I am as disgusted as you. In fact still contemplating selling the boat as fishing in Lake Pontchartrain is no comparison to Venice.

Venice as of right now is fine, the red fish are so thick you could walk across them and never touch the water. I would hold off on selling the boat.
