Didn't you yourself link to this skytruth.com article yesterday or the day before?
And FTR, I'm not saying it hasn't exceeded EV, but EV was a known, fixed volume release. There is a shitton of uncertainty as to how much oil is coming out of that well in the gulf right now.

I call BS....Valdez spilled 250,000 barrels.
This oil spill is about 5000 barrel a day...do the math...it doesn't add up.

FIFY.

No one really knows if thats the exact number or not...
I have heard it can be 5x more than 5000 barrels a day

Thats the point....there is no way to know....it all depends on spin at this point.

I think the least amount of oil leaking into the gulf is 5000 barrels

Lemme break it down for you.
No one know what the frick is coming out of that well. They're making educated guesses based on reservoir hydraulic calculations and ROV video of oil coming out of the leaks (which is crappy video, to be sure).

Go ahead and double that number to 10,ooo a day...the math says its still hasn't supassed the Exxon Valdez spill.

Yeah, but 25,0000 barrels a day is also very hard to believe.

BP's best interest is to give a lowball estimate to the press.
Skytruth's best interest is to give the high estimate to the press.
the truth likely lies in the middle ground

Definitely you can't make estimates on sheen. That isn't an accurate predicator of oil leakage.

sheen just magically appears on the ocean surface?

But sheen has a very variable density and thickness.
