I love how everyone is an engineer now. If they had some guy with a illness they couldn't control, im sure they would love taking some suggestions on how to stop it. Christ, surgeons are so cocky.

Yeah this seems to be a common sense solution. If this was plausible I would have to think it would have been done in the first couple of weeks.

do a small scale expirement, try to stop the flow of air coming out of an air compressor with a device like this or your finger... you cant do it
now immagine a MUCH bigger opeining and a MUCH higher pressure

I understand why the Federal government doesn't want anybody else's solution. It's hard to take credit for it. But it's baffling why BP wouldn't take some of these ideas seriously enough to at least examine.

they arent examining every idea because most have no chance of success
