Companies always pass on the taxes to the customers. Their profits will not change. This is just a way for the politicians to get more money! Who will be the next villian?

This is ridiculous. We operate onshore and have no offshore exposure yet we will be forced to pay the same tax as an integrated major drilling in 5,000 feet of water in the GOM. Never underestimate the ability of politicians of any kind to take money out of the hands of productive businesses in order to make it disappear into the black hole known as the treasury.

I saw this, and it is disgusting. Congress is absolutely USING this disaster to stick in a tax hike to try and help close the deficit. My favorite part, yet another tax that will actually RAISE the deficit.

Please, voters, get these fricking morons out of Congress in November. Please.
