I'm sorry but what does this have to do with cleaning sea turtles?

Because if they don't give a shite about one glaringly obvious species - Do you really think they give 2 shits about all the other ones. The ones that make up the entire food chain that exists in the Gulf... Or all of the individuals from all the countries who earn their living as the "workforce" of the 6th largest economy in the world... based on that food chain...

Because you can get shrimp in places besides Louisiana.
BP is not cleaning shrimp

No shite. They're killing them. Refer to the paragraph above for why that's important.

quote:

quote:

Because if we want to see a sea turtle we can go to the zoo.
Use the money to repopulate the gulf if every sea turtles dies. I'm sure it would be more cost effective.

That last bit speaks volumes as to what type of person you are. Even if you are being deliberately obtuse. I doubt you see much beauty in the world... Not sure if you jaded, grew up in foster care, or just too busy or disconnected or what... But you're missing something.

quote:

What species is being cleaned that is going to go extinct? Stop being sensational and use a little common sense

What species AREN'T being cleaned that are going to go extinct is a more appropriate question... The Brown Pelican was just taken OFF the endangered list about 8 months ago... How many Manitees are there left in the world...

I'm sure I appear sensationalistic to you - compared to that cold, narrow world-view you've got going on.

Do you ever get lonely down there in whatever hole you've got your head is buried in?

Why don't YOU use a little common sense. And while you're at it - check yourself for a pulse.

Dude I've seen a lot of beauty in this world, enough to know that the gulf is not unique or special. But above all, I've seen the beauty of people and can give a flying frick about a turtle when I know the money is better spent saving humans lives elsewhere in the world.

1. I'm not a dude.

2. You are still thinking too narrow if you don't think millions of lives form dozens of countries are going to be severely impacted by this thing long-term.

you got me there...

I meant a dozen+ countries. 12 - 15 likely. More depending on how far the oil has traveled and a hurricane becomes involved.
