Will the ship that is taking on the oil, also have a flare so they can burn it off as it comes up?

I believe I read that the gas will be flared off on the ship.

There is a drill ship on site so yes. FPSO if I am not mistaken so it will produce as well as store and offload. If they can just get the oil to it that is....

The drill ship that is on location is not equipped with a flare boom. There is not an FPSO on location and there is a difference between a drill ship and an FPSO.

The Discoverer Enterprise on location actually does have a full test kit on board w/ ~100,000 bbls of oil storage capability in the hull. They don't have a permanent flare boom out, but i have heard they will flare the flash gas, so i'd assume they'll be rigging up their temporary flare boom(s).

So it is an FSO or FPSO?

neither, it is a drillship w/ some producing and storage capacity. the storage and well test spread are for performing a long term well test, not a permanent installation like an FPSO would be.
