That said, I have lived here 33 years, and while Allison wasn't a walk in the park, there has never been anything approaching Harvey level of flooding. Of course, as they continue to pave it, time will tell if it becomes more common.

We're steering it toward a public corporation model with private investment. Thats the plan at least. I came back here for that reason.
We had funding to build the road, environmentalists (Who don't even live here) fricked that up.
The road is vastly superior, Norway recently put 47 billion toward an Atlantic rd so they can become less dependent on ferries. We need to do the same.
