To everyone using the term “fireproof” safe, if you are serious about protecting your valuables, photos, digital media check the fire rating of your safe. A safe only rated to protect paper will not protect your memory sticks, DVDs, external drives which will be damaged at a much lower temperature than paper. Check the time it is certified to protect the contents, decide if that is adequate I withstand a house fire, is the safe sealed against water?
