Is there really no recourse of action for something like this? What would the OT do?

You must be new to down here, Northern. If you're driving a vehicle that doesn't have a crack in the windshield in LA, you either just got it changed or just got a new car.

I'm tired of paying the $100 to get a new one. As long as i can get the POS inspection sticker i'm just fine driving with a crack in my windshield, b/c i know the second i get it changed out i'll just get another crack within a few months.

I agree I put on avg 5000 miles a month.
If you don't have cracks from rocks you are not driving.
I change a windshield in a vehicle I drive a lot at minimum twice a year.
If it's a peck get if filled and if it's a crack change it when it gets bad or obstructs your view right before you get an inspection sticker.
I have 2015 F150 bought in June of 2015 and my present windshield on it is the second one and it's cracked.

Hate to say it get 0 windshield deductible and put it behind you.
