Really bad decision by TKO. They were actually getting new and returning eyes on their product, and now they are going to paywall it again.
The only free WWE programming right now is NXT and Saturday Night Main Event. Everything else is behind a paywall. Today's fans seem more than happy paying hundreds or even thousands of dollars for a ticket to Raw or Smackdown so I don't think they'll mind moving over to ESPN. Getting it free with your existing cable package is the real gamechanger here.

Smackdown is on USA which is included in most cable packages, so not much of a paywall there.

$30/month for all of the ESPN channels doesn't sound so bad when I only watch ESPN during football season and end up paying $80+ for YoutubeTV or Hulu LiveTv.
Yeah... uhhh... RIP Hulu

I haven’t cared to watch a WWE event in a while since the women started dominating. Not my thing.

The men need to step their game up, period.
The women put on a great show, especially Iyo Sky(WOOD) Rhea Ripley, and Lyra (WOOD)

Can’t find the article now, but I read earlier how there will be an ESPN/Disney/Hulu bundle for $35/month. Also read earlier that next year the Hulu app is going away and will be fully integrated into Disney+. fricking sucks, I loathe the Disney+ app.

You will have to get "ESPN" now which will be $29.99.
I will be so close to not needing cable anymore at all. The only reason I have it now is for sports. If ESPN can carry the prime time NFL games and I can stream Fox, I'll be good.

What perfect timing... after this news comes out for Peacock to say "we're raising our prices... the cheapest plan is now $10.99/ mo. starting immediately"
Wasn't it $5.99/mo. when WWE 1st moved over to Peacock? Now it's almost double that

I read that is NOT included specifically for YouTubeTV.

Say what? I haven't had cable in years.

Copied this directly from the tweet:
quote:
If you have ESPN through your cable provider (Comcast, DirectTV, Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, etc) you get all the WWE PPVs for FREE at no extra charge. No paying the extra $30.
YTTV is included.

I've only had it for college sports.
