WWE NXT Takeover War Games II | 6:00 PM | Preshow 5:30 PM | WWE Network

I'm starting this thread real early today b/c I have work that will take me probably right up to show time before I can rejoin this thread
1 of Dusty Rhodes' ultimate creations is back on Survivor Series weekend as NXT again will play War Games - The Match Beyond for the second straight year tonight in Staples Center at NXT Takeover War Games II
War Games will go back somewhat to its original rules... where 2 wrestlers will start and then the teams will alternate 1 by 1 who enters after a set amount of time (5 minutes before the 3rd combatant enters, and then 3 minutes between each of the rest of the participates) - if you remember last year when they had 3 teams the rest of the chosen team was allowed in all at once... however victory in The Match Beyond still comes via pinfall or submission (the original War Games was submission only) or your team can be DQ'ed if one of its participants leaves the cage (which still doesn't have a roof unlike Dusty's original cage)

NXT North American Champion Ricochet, WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne, & War Raiders (Hanson & Raymond Rowe) vs. The Undisputed ERA (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, NXT Tag Team Champions Kyle O' Reilly & Roderick Strong)
NXT Championship Match
Tommaso Ciampa (c) vs. Velveteen Dream
2 Out of 3 Falls Match for the NXT Women's Championship
Shayna Baszler (c) vs. Kairi Sane
Johnny Gargano vs. Aleister Black

Its bullshite that we can't have this type of match with these rules in WWE and the raw vs smackdown. Survivor series teams.

It's never really been used right unfortunately, even in the WCW. They would have some of the dumbest finishes to the matches

They had a 5 star match in ‘88 with Sting’s team vs Flairs team but I don’t think they were called the Horseman at the time (Austin was in the match I believe).
Think the finish was kind of wonky though lol. That being said, best War Games ever.
