I know it is staged............but I am shocked so of these guys dont die

If you discount the pure accidents like Owen Hart, you still get...

Test: 34
Big John Stud: 47
Yokozuna: 34
Rick Rude: 41
Andre the Giant 47
Eddie Guerrero 38
Mr Perfect: 45
Big Boss Man: 41
Chris the Triple Murderer Benoit: 40
Randy Savage 59
Ultimate Warrior 55

Plenty of them die from what they do. Its just not on TV.

That's the one that bad me step back and consider what they do to their bodies for our entertainment. Eddie was good stuff.

There are far more than that.

Average life expectancy for wrestlers, especially ones who roided up majorly like Hercules, Road Warrior Hawk, Davey Boy Smith, Brian Pillman, etc, is about 40.

There was a point a few years ago where you couldn’t go a week without an 80s WWF worker, even someone like Miss Elizabeth, dropping dead of either a heart attack or a drug related incident.

Chris Benoit's double murder-suicide is what made me look at it

he was a great wrestler but you just knew something was going on with him

all those diving head butts (combined with potential steroid use) ended up catching up to him and unfortunately he took his wife and kid with him

pretty sure it was reported some time after the incident that he had bad CTE

I mean, I know not many of you guys really follow guys careers pre-WWE but Dean Lamebrose was basically doing matches where guys shoot nail guns at each other when he was Jon Moxley.

And now his matches are zzzzz. So one extreme or the other I guess

I know... CSB but here goes

a former Saints writer who I used to work with in NOLA is now working in news in the St. Louis area and is also a pro wrestler

he recently retweeted something interesting that was tweeted out by 1 of his wrestling compatriots

the tweet basically went "people say you don't have to do deathmatch type matches to which I say we love doing it"

I honestly couldn't do it... but some wrestlers LOVE the deathmatch style matches

kinda like those people who stick hooks in their skin and swing around from their skin

It's been reported that even if Benoit didn't commit the murders, the condition of his Brain said he had about 10 months to live.

Benoit’s brain was so deteriorated from the heat of the body from death till discovery that I thought they weren’t able to even conclusively say he had CTE, let alone so much damage that he would have died in a year.
