it's amazing to see WWE's reactionary moves to everything AEW is doing
WWE NEVER did anything like this when TNA was starting up... it's like WWE is really somewhat concerned that AEW could become a legit competitor

I think it’s a combo social media and the internet in general being bigger now than when TNA was starting so there’s more of a fanboy IWC following for AEW to market to coupled with the fact that WWE has also kind of been in a lull the past few years so there’s a “it’s cool to hate on WWE” kind of thing that’s got even the most hardcore WWE fans looking for something different. AEW is basically pitching to a bigger market than just the former WCW fans TNA was trying to bring in.

yes I obviously realize this as someone who works through media... availability and ability to stream events quickly is MUCH easier today than it was in the mid-00s
