Just spitballing here but heel champ Cena against ghosts of his past like Punk, Orton or maybe even Roman could be great.
I’ve got a sneaky feeling Rock will be involved Sunday night somehow and perhaps someone else is with him to help Cena. Why else did Cena sell his soul if it wasn’t for a guarantee that he beats Cody?
Then you circle back at the end of the run with Rhodes going over Cena and bringing him back from the “dark side”

I really like this. “Summer of Cena” could be really good with a lot of callbacks and storylines they could sink their teeth into

Exactly. Kind of like an inverted super Cena run but this time he’s protected by the Final Boss and perhaps the mystery 3rd man (Seth? Drew?)
Cody is going to be over as frick no matter what especially if he gets screwed Sunday night. Let Cody frick around this summer until we get the true passing of the torch when Cena is leaving

You've got to figure Ray Fenix is the easy replacement. Or....do you go ahead with the TLC match on Night 1? Or....do you move the TLC match AND make EGA the guy who answers Orton's challenge?
Frankly, I think you go with option 3. Fenix and Rusev haven't been working their asses off in WWE all year. You're basically trading Rusev (who is obviously the guy accepting the open challenge) for giving MCMG, the Profits, and Gargano/Ciampa their Mania moment. The domino effect likely would play out with Rusev having a RAW after Mania debut and a NXT surprise being delayed until Smackdown (replacing the TLC match made tonight).
I don't envy HHH tonight. It's like a fricking hurricane slammed into tonight's HOF ceremony. I'm sure we'll get some kind of comment either in the red carpet or possibly even him sliding to it in his speech. OR....Rey sprained it and he's gonna see how it feels tomorrow morning.

The injury hurts chad pretty bad. He was gonna go against the legend and now that is in real jeopardy.
