In a 100% conscious dream state with full control of your body and mind. A rare full conscious dream I had last night after a double dose of Zquil has me thinking.

Say science develops a way to tap into memories and induce them into dreams.

Would you relive some of the happiest moments of your life or maybe relive final moments with a deceased loved one?

Or hypothetically if you were about to die would you like to be placed in a medically induced coma and relive your life through a dream state?

How much money would this be worth to you?

Personally, I’d like to go back to 7 years old and relive the final weekend I spent with my dad before he passed away in a car accident.

Ummm absolutely.

Imagine the depression they could treat with this as well.

Money depends on what I have. Also, I haven't had kids yet, but I know a lot of people would re-live that and would pay handsomely to do so.

If I could relive the entire decade of the eighties, that would be awesome.

Couldn’t this cause more depression in the present though?

You'd have to use it strategically, but I don't think reliving past moments that don't have sadness attached to them would do this.

Like reliving the birth of a child that is still alive and well, but older. Stuff like that.

Reliving happy times winning a little league title or something like that.

Therapy is about bringing all of your thoughts out into the open, both good and bad. That way you can move on and also appreciate the good stuff more.
