Limp leg is an idiot, what a shock

I just buried my dad a week ago. Died of lung cancer. So it’s fresh and it sucks. But death is a part of life and I’m mature enough to understand that. it’s not just a cliche I spout out. All any of us can do is remember the good times and move on with our own lives. There simply is no other option. And it’s always easier to move on with life if money is not an issue. So yes, a big inheritance would help. thats just truth and I’m not too sanctimonious to admit that reality.

I remember buying a $700 suit to go to the funeral of both of my brothers.
While the pants were being tailored, I remember thinking, if I had had unlimited wealth and had bought a $10,000 suit, nothing materialistic like that would have eased the sorrow at that moment.
In the following months, I did notice mom & dad spending more on trips & activities as effective distractions. Had they had millions/billions, in theory, they could have stayed preoccupied longer and repressed the tidal wave of grief.

In the Kobe Bryant thread people are saying they would be able to cope easier if they lost loved ones, if losing them meant they would inherit millions of dollars.
Cope and grieve are different you realize right? I would argue you can absolutely cope easier if you are wealthy but grieving doesn’t change much.
Are you trying to say having less money is easier? Money always helps, it doesn’t always make things perfect.
If Kobe’s wife had to go to work now because he was the worker and she had to pay bills, her life would definitely be harder in that aspect. Losing a spouse is never easy no matter your wealth.
