I love GMC's. Have a 20 year old z71 now. But with the prices, I'll probably just keep mine and buy a 2 door jeep sport. All I do is drive around town anyway. 60k plus hurts my ego.
I'm in the same spot with my 2013 Ram. There's literally nothing wrong with it so why do I want to have a $30K note when I don't need it?
I'd rather buy a fun weekend vehicle for cash and save what I would be paying on a note for my future daily drvier.

Such a sad and pathetic roll out. The AT4X only has 32" tires, no panoramic sunroof in an 80k truck, no retracting steps on most levels, interior trim is all basically black plastic.

Was this after the 15k down?

a fancy looking truck full of cheap crappy plastic "wood" and thin synthetic leather, is still a cheap crappy truck.
The 2022 Sierra Denali and Silverado High Country both real leather and open pore wood. Pretty sure the new Tundra 1794 edition has similar materials. Not sure about the Ford Limited, but if it doesn’t have that…it will soon.

Yeah I'm going to drive my current truck into the dirt at this point due to prices. Maybe when the last kid is off the payroll I'll look at getting another one.

The proper question is "Would you pay $81K for this GM product?"
The metric ton of people trying to buy a Yukon Denali, 99% of which sell before they even reach the lot.

Yeah. It is real wood in the Ford as well.

It can drive autonomously with a trailer.
This seems like a bad plan.

The MSRP on that truck is going to be over 80k
That’s if the dealer will have inventory at all.
If you want a new truck, you are probably going to have to order one or buy one in transit sight unseen.

Interior pretty close to the King Ranch.
I don’t think we will see less the MSRP on vehicles for quite some time.

GMC has basically halted production of other cars to allocate materials to the Yukon, Tahoe, Suburban, and Sierra/Silverado factories.
GM has not canceled the Chevy Malibu. But they haven’t built once since Feb 2021.
The material shortages now are insane. And this trend means that most used cars in a few years will only be the big, high margin products. Because for about a year now the automakers have been prioritizing production of those vehicles over the smaller, cheaper ones.

Food, gas, housing, and cars…will all be more expensive and will stay that way.
We might have a bull whip effect with some product’s supply chain, but I don’t think that’s going to result in lower prices for the consumer.

They are both nice trucks. The interior is hands down nicer than a RAM, Ford, or Toyota. I drive a F-150 platinum 2019
I think trucks are getting overly complicated and plush. Before the truck I have now, I drove a 2017 F-150 XLT and it was about the right amount of technology in it to be nice but not nice enough for me to care if my kids spilled something or the interior got dirty. I don't think the average guy wants all that bullshite in a vehicle.

The economy will crash if prices stay this inflated for very long

Correct. Meanwhile my 2019 Ford just keeps going up in value. I am thinking about selling it and buying a beater.

Don’t need a truck so no. Only reason I would need a truck is to tow something. I don’t understand why people have trucks just to drive for no other reason.

would drive it, would not pay for it

I've always driven trucks and I don't really tow things very often. I use the bed quite often though.
I hate driving cars. They are cramped and it feels like I'm sitting on the floor. I have no need for the seating capacity of a SUV.

Prices of trucks today is what it is. The AT4 is sexy as frick and @ 60k, yes, I'd buy that. Now, will my wife let me, absolutely not.
