I’m talking model 3 thats around the 40k range. Will probably be in the market for a new car in the next year or so. Strongly considering a Tesla. I don’t work in construction or in a plant, and I’m not ashamed of my peen size, so there is no need for a truck. Don’t have kids, and the SO will probably get a midsize suv soon anyway. Wondering what the OT baws thought of Tesla’s

ETA: I sat inside of one a few months back and they are incredible

If you’ve ever driven one, the answer is yes. They really are superior vehicles and it isn’t even close.

No

They’re not practical for what I do and where I live. Distances out here are too great and winter weather takes a toll on batteries.

I don’t like the recharge time either.

Most people who bash them have never been in one. You will not go back to combustion after driving one for awhile. I've got a cyber truck on preorder that I will gladly wait for.

I’d love to buy one but who the frick works on them? How long do the batteries last? How much are they to replace? There’s just a lot of unknowns to me. I’ve got a battery powered lawn mower and it’s fricking awesome.

I drove my son’s model 3Dual motor and it had some software performance upgrades and it was fantastic. It has snap your neck back acceleration and very good auto pilot functionality. His is black and he had his rims finish gloss black. It looks marvelous!

Variables exist of course. Weather and charging habits play a big part. 300k seems to be the low end. They recommend only charging to 80% unless you have a long trip

I would. But I get 37mpg in my civic at half the purchase price.
