Not a vanity plate but similar story. I know a guy named Allan that goes by "Al". For a time his email address was bigal@ -- i.e., Big Al. But most people parsed it as Bi Gal.

Anyone familiar with the state of Virginia? It seems there are more cars with vanity license plates than those with regular Virginia license plates.
