My girlfriend got mad one time because I wanted to catcall a girl who was doing yoga out in the middle of a small field at a busy intersection.

She said she didn't want that attention.

I asked her if she was serious.

Was that catcalling though? Maybe something fell out of her bag, and he was alerting her of it. Now it's lost forever because acknowledging someone trying to get your attention is traumatizing.

In all seriousness, was there ever a time or place when this was an effective means of courting a young lady? Has it ever resulted in sex for anyone?

It has to be a ghetto thing right? Like " this sexy thug dude hollered at me across the street so I sucked him dry cause it was charming and shite". Is that the end game they're going for?

Shotgun approach. If your standards are low enough eventually someone will say yes. You just have to cast a wide enough net.

Not the same as complimenting a girl's arse on the street at lunch time.

Slapped a girl on the arse once on campus because I thought she was my friend...turns out she wasn't my friend. Told her sorry you look a lot like my sister

Not only was it effective but expected.

Would someone who is about to abduct you announce their presence by yelling "hey" at you four or five times in broad day light? How often does she get alarmed by people addressing her in public? To be fair, I don't like trashy people shouting at me in public either, it's creepy. That girl's beef would be better addressed at trashy people vs. being aimed at men. She sounds classist/racist to me.
