At what point do the good people of Baton Rouge cut their losses and move to greener pastures?

Ascension and Livingston are still growing from the advent of people leaving BR in the mid to late 90's.

It's ok. Not the greatest, not the worst.

Sherwood south of Florida and definitely south of the interstate was really nice when I was younger. Was it Sports Authority that was the anchor in the strip mall that's vacant now? Lake Sherwood also has some very large/nice homes. It will be interesting to see what happens with that area with Episcopal, Parkview and OLOL right in the middle of it.

Should be just fine. Woodland Ridge and Camelot seem to be holding steady.

Those apartments nearby are not good news for that area. Tiger Bend seems to be ok.

We live several miles away but I agree. The apartments by Parkview are going south. Woodland Ridge seems to be coming back from the flood. I cut through there quite a bit to avoid that light at Sherwood and Harrells Ferry.

I've got a friend that bought a house on Mollylea a couple years ago. I've never felt unsafe when I've visited him there, and it's always been at night. He loves the area.

Granted, he's a bit more liberal than me, but he has purchased a handgun.

Me, I'd just practice shooting my crossbow in my front yard. That sends a good message.

A lot of drugs dealers, crime, and thugs in that area around Belaire and North Sherwood. I use to own duplexes in that area it is a war zone and does not surprise me.

One Sunday BRPD came into the area 4 times on a Sunday morning when I had rental units. They had to break up low level dealers fights over having too many drug dealers so close to each other.

Drug dealers and thugs took Red Oaks and Belaire over to claim it as their war zone.
