With corona emphasis on hand washing and separation normal flu deaths are way down

but the range reported by cdc for normal flu patients has a fatality range from 23000 to 59000 deaths for this year. in January cdc had estimated a severe season for normal flu.
news media might try to explain shutting down over corona when it is less intrusive than regular flu

The U.S. is going to be at around 1,000 deaths for a two or so week period coming up. Also the possibility other deaths were attributable to the virus before we started testing/tracking in this country. Remember the start of last week when people were asking what's the big deal with only 60 deaths in the U.S. -- now we're at 700+ and no signs of any kind of immediate trend downward.
