Trekz Air by AfterShokz - don't fit in your ear but in front. They work by vibrating the ear bone. Stay on you you no matter what you do and when you wear earplugs with them their the best!

for mowing the lawn: Bose audio sunglasses and earplugs. they're bone conduction and the ones I tried sounded awesome. Might look like a douche working out with sunglasses at the gym though.
