1. Your insurance will cover it, but they will almost certainly go after your neighbors' insurance for repayment.

They don't know... This is a standard form sent out after surgeries, at least those that could have come from accidental injuries... I've received them after every orthopedic surgery I've had. They just simply ask if the injury was caused by an accident. Check yes or no type form... Think I maybe returned one and ignored the rest. Never had an issue with Blue Cross paying for said surgeries.

Write a letter to the insurance stating that no third party was involved. It happens with my kids and sports all the time.

You have to describe the event. If their sidewalk was covered in roller bearings, they will be liable. If you were not looking where you were going and you tripped on your shoelaces, its on you.
