I just found out my friend died.

This late don't. Friends are ok, they prob want someone to talk to. Don't call family, maybe ever. Term is "guilty by association"

My old guitar player, someone I met on my 1st day of 3rd grade at a new school died from an OD in 2007.
Because of lies and money issues, We weren't on good terms at the time. I regret that to this day.

Hey man, most people know somebody that has been lost to addiction. You can't blame yourself for that no matter what happened. You can only do so much. Remember your friend as your friend.
