LV makes incredibly durable luggage.
It’s honestly their forte.
I wouldn’t carry it because I’m on a TUMI budget, but it’s world class quality.

My wife inherited her grandmothers LV duffle-ish looking bag from the 50s and it looks brand new.

They’re definitely not dainty. They’re thick and very durable if you’re not going to space or war.
NASA and the marines don’t wear Allen Edmonds shoes. That doesn’t mean they’re not durable and well made.
And yes, obviously people buy them for the print moreso than quality.
