re: Why is this jacksss flying a plane so low at night?

We had a Cessna AgWagon on the farm where I grew up and my uncle flew it. I would pick the soybean plants out of the landing gear everytime he came back. He flew under power lines all the time. Spray planes have a blade on the front of the canopy to cut any line you might hit and a cable running from the top of the canopy to the top of the rudder to keep any line from catching the rudder.

He said the only time he was ever afraid was after Hugo stripped all the trees and it was almost impossible to tell when you got to the end of the field cuz it was nothing but sticks there

After Katrina, C-130 planes were spraying for mosquitos in New Orleans just as low as the parish mosquito planes fly now. That was a sight.
