I asked for it for years and don't even go there.
Tech aboard is terrible.
It's nothing but a bunch of guys crouched to jump on you if you don't use what they use.

They both serve their purpose IMO.
Tech Board helps keep good tech topics hanging around longer than when they were on the OT and a lot of times they would get pushed down too fast for any real dialogue to develop. Often people would miss them entirely because they got pushed down so fast. The negative is some people don't get too see the topics now since they don't visit the Tech Board, but for us who do it's great.
The Soccer Board is a little different. They would bump their own threads A LOT. The soccer board consolidates all the stuff that nobody else wants to be part of on their board so that they can post in peace and not get all the soccer is gay posts in their threads.
