You had a virus.

In my experience, if you’ve got a bad enough stomach virus, Imodium won’t touch it.

The regular chalk pills are in that horrible packaging. But the gel caps are in a normal pop-out material blister pack.

The pills take way too long to activate. Try the green chalky liquid version. Absorbs like sawdust on puke.

Well...my theory is this: Believe it or not it is an opioid. Some people take a bottle or so to get high. Naturally, they are also really constipated. Putting it in an almost impossible to open blister pack is a scheme to deter loperamide addicts from being able to open the scores of little blistered tabs needed to get a buzz (and constipated).

Bingo. You used to be able to buy them in a bottle of 200 at any store, then people addicted to opioids/H figured out you could stave off and reduce the effects of detox if you take a ton of Imodium. Or get a decent opiate buzz if you figured out how to make loperamide cross your blood brain barrier. And they can still order it online lol. Ridiculous that we waste that much damn plastic puttin 12 lil pissy arse pills in a container.

Imodium’s active ingredient (loperamide) is an opioid agonist and functions like morphine, albeit much less powerfully.

That being said, with the opioid crisis, people have started to abuse it recreationally as well in high doses, so the FDA has restricted some of that abuse ability.

Johnson & Johnson has a devious sense if humor.

Those Johnson boys love to play tricks.

Yep. FDA started limiting it back in 2018 by forcing manufacturers to use more secure blister packaging.

Cruel and unusual punishment, I say.
