The correct answer. That is why I think moderate Muslims are secretly sexists who deep down approve of what hardcore Islam is up to, while the liberal ones don't exist in mass enough numbers to really combat the situation.... that or they are cowards. Until large portions of Islam condone what the most extreme among them are doing, there will be no improvement in the Muslim world as a whole. We need a large group of Muslim champions who fight for liberal and Western principles to see any real change in the religion as we have in Christianity. Islam did have that period, but unfortunately it was in the 12th century.

I'm all for America going out and kicking arse on people who seem to beg for it. But truth is fighting radical Islam is like climbing out of quicksand. The very act of fighting it is what sustains it. It romanticizes their struggle and gets more people to believe it's anything other than bat shite crazy. Islam needs a fundamental peace movement from within.

This is my hope, but my fear is Islam grows more and more extreme by the day. Islam was fairly docile at this point last century, but now it's horrifying. I hope it comes to the later, but my fear is an all out war with it when they are finally able to destroy a city, which is shockingly feasible due to the severe lack of defense on our own nuclear weapons. A pizza delivery driver quite literally once walked unopposed (and thankfully unintentionally) into a vault with nuclear weapons. And that's just America, think about in Russia, which has just about as many nuclear warheads as we do and share the same continent as these extremists, as well as lost territories that contain these weapons. It's sickeningly probable that some terrorist group has a nuclear weapon, and are saving it for a really rainy day.

I guarantee that the average Muslim within 20 miles of me makes more money, pays more in taxes, and has a cleaner criminal record than the average Christian within 20 miles of you.
