It's not a religious holiday though. It's more secular nowadays. It's all about Santa now, not the birth of Jesus.

Christmas is just the latest religious holiday to get on the bandwagon of celebrating the winter solstice.

It's been a time to celebrate for a long damn time. It's a secular holiday and the new Christian name for it is now the term used. Jesus isn't the reason for the season and never was, he wasn't born anywhere near that day.

Bc people want to be at home with family and it's a tradition dating back long before churches repainted the celebration to reflect the churches story of a party to celebrate the end of crop season and the beginning of winter months.

I think this observation just single-handedly proved the existence of Jesus.

You posed a question about the separation of church and state, which is a direct reference to the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment, and then want to follow that by stating that no one is discussing the Constitution.

What a dumbfrick.

Like false narratives such as separation of church and state, once something takes root, it's hard to undo.

As a government worker, my schedule is Tuesday - Saturday. I had to work July 4 bc it was on a Tuesday, but got paid double time.

For Labor Day, since it falls on a Monday, I don't work but still get paid my normal 8 hours as holiday pay.

The better question is why do hypocrite atheists take the day off

They should have the integrity to go to work and show their contempt for the day

It could be called white genocide or gaping a-hole's day and I'll gladly take the paid holiday that goes with it.
