why not keep your passport on you? I do when I go to foreign ports...

We've been on several cruises both out of Florida and out of NO and Galveston. We noticed a big difference in the clientele on the Florida based cruises compared to those out of N.O. or Galveston.

The only time the ship had my passport was a Nile cruise.

Cause they equate all cruise lines to Carnival, and that isn't close to true.
Well I guess my answer is that I've been on one cruise, it was Carnival, and it was full of trashy people, you're stuck on a ship on their schedule, and there really isn't shite to do on the ship. I mean, you can workout in the crowded workout room, you can eat, drink, sit on the hot deck with a pool designed for 10 people out of the thousands on board and it's full of kids...based on my one experience I don't know why anyone likes cruises

I don't think he understands that no one takes your passport from you on a cruise.

bullshite.
If there is nothing to do, it's only because you didn't want to do anything. There are plenty of things to do on a ship.
Concerts, comedy acts, shows, game shows, bingo, trivia, group meets, art auctions, wine tasting, dining, sports, movies, buffets, privacy to sex your lady up in your room while the kids are at camp.

Like I said, there isn't shite to do on the ship.

They even got internet so you can post on forums. I mean what do you think is entertainment then?
If you can't keep yourself entertained on a ship, then : Casty: I mean shite they got ice skating rinks, rock walls, bumper cars bowling, I can go one.

I didn't see any of that shite, but I was on a Carnival ship. I don't like being stuck in one place on someone else's schedule, it's that simple. I really enjoyed my time OFF the boat, as limited as that time was.

I just watched a 40 minute film on the Costa Concordia. The correspondence between the captain and rescue is intense.

I have no idea if it is trashy or not since I've never been, but I've never really had a desire to do a cruise because I'm not a fan of crowds. I also can't imagine my SO choosing to spend any additional time aboard a boat.

The crowds are the worst part. Honestly a all inclusive is more fun, Cruises are good to see if you like a particular port. I actually like crowds, never met a stranger.
