When I was a sophomore in high school several guys got called out of class to go to the principals office.
Turns out some girl had went and got tested and turned out positive for something. She had to list names and then those folks were contacted to get tested.

who you later heard had HIV/AIDS?
15 years ago back in high school there were always rumors about certain girls and guys who may have contracted HIV due to their promiscuity. If you were smart, you knew who to stay away from no matter how hot they were.
But occasionally you'd see drunk people at parties ignore their better judgment with questionable individuals.
15 years later those questionable individuals are still very much alive and more than likely don't have HIV/AIDS implying the rumors weren't in fact true, which is sad considering how much their reputations were adversely affected.
But when people hear a rumor like that it's hard to discard it as 100 percent bullshite. If people allow even a 1 percent chance that the rumor is true, that's enough to scare most people.
Or you could just wear a rubber.

Never thought I'd say this, but the thread about dudes talking about jacking off seems more normal than this one.

Well this thread is pretty straight forward and not fricked up at all. I call bullshite on most people who act as if they never heard these type of rumors when they were younger only to find out much later that the rumors were false.
That's the point of this thread. The oddly aggressive reactions to this thread tell me that people are still very much scared to talk about anything remotely related to HIV/AIDS.
Which is strange.

Have you almost made out, made out, or had sex with a person
When I clicked on the thread I expected this to be the end of the question.
Has anyone on the OT ever almost made out with someone? It's a legit question for this place.

Never known anyone rumored to have aids/hiv high school or college.

Of course not because I never have wanted to hook up with gay dudes, black people or IV drug users.

Anyone who even thinks they have any chance of contracting HIV these days is a fricking loser

Only paranoia I remember from the 90s was people thinking you can catch AIDS from someone peeing in a public pool.

When I lived in SF, 1982-1984, I carried a copy of my HIV test results in the glove compartment of my car, so chicks would know I was good to go. You pretty much had to produce your test results, especially if you wanted to PIIHB.
