As the son of an eventually quadriplegic mother (MS), there's little the handicapped like more than being able to laugh about their situation. "Woe is me", and the people who cater to those feelings of despair, are not helpful.
I've never met Oweo but if he were really offended by most of the things said, he wouldn't post here. My mom would've cracked up at some of the jokes Oweo gets. Hell, just in this thread...."He can't stand up for himself"....that's funny shite, handicapped or not.
I respect Chris/Oweo for never asking for pity. But just b/c he doesn't complain doesn't make it right.
And this isn't only about Chris/Oweo. It's also about the people who find humor in tripping cripples, and losing some of their humanity in the process.
I actually like Owlie as a poster. He can be very funny. But these cruel second-grade insults drag him down. He need to stop, not only for Chris' sake, but for his own.
