Why do some of the younger generation not pronounce the letter T in the middle of words?

The Bri'ish thread got me thinking about this. Several younger kids at work do this often. Anyone else notice this?

Let the Brits capriciously drop “t”s that are clearly part of the word from a language they invented.

If it’s in the word, I pronounce it.

Well in Louisiana, D’s replaces most T’s in words. “Look at dat gator over dere” is an example. “Here come da tigers” is another one.

No, not really. I’ve noticed that a lot of younger people are not articulate and can not use proper grammar - but not specifically the ‘T’ thing.

I notice yankee radio hosts do this. Pey-en instead of Peyton and buh-en instead of button.
