I leave them on when cooking at home. Presentation, added flavor, and the fact it's literally a goddamn handle to pick the frickers up are all reasons I choose to serve them that way.

For what it's worth, my kids bitch about it. I don't care.

I assume with the tail on the shrimp are fresher and probably Louisiana shrimp. Tail off says frozen import shrimp to me.
