Royal Family is a figurehead anyway...brings nothing to the table at all. Consider them the non transgendered, aristocratic, three piece wearing suits Kardashians of England. In England they may care. Here in America it has no bearing on me getting up everyday and going to work for my family. The tabloids have to have something to write about and Oprah needs something to do.

I follow the British royal family from a historical point of view. It will be interesting to see the succession of the Crown. The history of European royalty is fascinating, in that the inter-marriages and relations were often used as a means of treaties.

Americans do because the USA should never have fought to be independent. People here really would prefer to be ruled over by a Queen.
