And it doesn’t really set you up to play any other sports.

It amazes me that there are quite a few women that i know that will post their kids sports or cheer costs and several people will just pay for it.

I could put one up every day of the year and no one is paying for my kid to do their activities

1. Your sense of self-respect and accountability prevents you from doing so;

2. Perhaps the donors ARE receiving something for their contribution. It's just that state law frowns upon such transactions occurring...

Maybe in many cases it gives us something to watch vs your punk kid, and furthermore many people don’t like people criticizing their kids and rightfully so.

This stuff pisses me off so much.
You voluntarily signed your kid up for this stuff. Pay for it yourself.

Even when our daughter was on the dance team in high school, when we where given the option to buy out of fundraising for various things we always did so.

Asking for donations is straight up 100% trash. Have some damn respect for yourself. No acceptable reason.

Teach the kids to work for money, not beg. Might as well put them at interstate off ramps. Or even better, you go stand on a corner. Same thing

Car wash, lawns, etc. If little Johny can play sports, he can sling sponges or push a lawn mower instead of playing Call of Duty. It’s a good life lesson for them. It’s not all play and no work.

seeing moms asking to cash app or venmo so their little kid can go to Houston to play a baseball game.

If the mom’s really wanted to help with money there are things they could do to make enough cash to pay for every person flights and hotels. Hell if they are truly serious they could make enough to buy every kid a trophy and pay for all the meals while they are there

This is foreign to me. So let me get this straight, just ask for money to support their kid’s travel ball team? No raffle, car wash, candy bar, just ask for the money. That is pretty ballsy. How common is this? I gues I don’t hang around those kind of poors.

I don’t know but when my son’s team needed money when he played they were responsible for selling the raffle tickets and doing all the labor involved. Parents would do the cooking for when they had fund raiser’s
